This Fast Company piece on Etsy is the most comprehensive summary of current thinking on the large enterprise efforts to build engagement and “happiness” that I’ve seen.
It deals with the current disconnect many companies are struggling with between knowing that happiness is important and knowing what to do about it.
Jason,
What companies make up the exit119a portfolio?
Do measures of employee disengagement (ED) i.e. employee turnover, job off- shoring, out-sourcing and mass layoffs factor in choosing companies for the portfolio?
There are 18 companies in the portfolio as it stands today. I’ll put up a post that contains the whole list. With regards to the opposite end of the spectrum, I haven’t done a list of “bad” companies, But Enterprise Engagement, a consulting firm that is doing the same sort of thing has a “bad” companies list. It includes:
Bank of New York
Mellon Corp.
CenturyLink
Danaher
Dean Foods
Dollar General
Dollar Tree
Franklin Resources
GameStop
McKesson
Murphy Oil
Oracle
Republic Services
Rite Aid
Sears Holdings
Tyson Foods
United Continental Holdings
United States Steel
